New Lockerbie Group Created To Help Cope With Loneliness

Lost then Found Lockerbie has been created by Lisa Marie, an activity co-ordinator in a local care home to help combat isolation and loneliness from the results of spouse going into a care home.

Lisa Said “After spending lots of time seeing the effects on the family members and loved ones of our residents, I decided to start a group in Lockerbie to allow like minded people to come together for a cuppa and a chat, engage in creative activities and make new friends.
The general feelings family members have are guilt, loneliness and isolation. We would like to combat this and let people know they are not alone.
We will aim to run the group on Sunday mornings at Lockerbie Village Hall.
At the moment we are asking anyone who is interested to get in touch so we can get an idea of numbers. You can find us on facebook @lostthenfoundsupport or email us [email protected]
