Police Scotland officers in Annan are carrying out enquiries into a break-in to The Bruce Restaurant in Gracies Banking in the town. The crime happened sometime overnight Sunday 17/Monday 18 September 2017.
Cash has been stolen from fruit machines within the premises and is thought to be nearly £1000 in value. Also stolen in the raid was the juke box, which is about 2.5′ x 2′ in size and is valued at around £3000.
Constable Ryan McGarvey at Annan said “we suspect that those responsible may have been in the building for some time whilst they forced open the fruit machines and this may have proved noisy. We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Gracies Banking/Butts Street area overnight to get in touch if they saw or heard anything suspicious. Police at Annan can be contacted on the 101 number.”
