AStars of Dumfries’ pantomime got a taste of The Oak Bar & Restaurant’s brand new pre-theatre menu when they visited Scotland’s top spa and independent hotel.
The Guild of Players’ performers of Aladdin at the Theatre Royal – the country’s oldest working theatre, having opened in 1792 – sat down in The Oak, Cairndale’s new casual dining restaurant and bar, which declared its own ‘Open Sesame’ in October.
Pre-Theatre Dining is available and bookable online at theoakrestaurant.co.uk
Guests can enjoy two courses for just £22.50 or three courses for £30.
With dishes such as Toasted Bruschetta, Beer Battered Cod Fillet, Butter Chicken and Slow Braised Beef Short Rib, there’s something for all palettes before the show begins!
Save room for the final act, dessert…with the only tough decision being whether to indulge in Homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding, Tiramisu Cheesecake or the delicious Pavlova!
Even after the curtains close, The Oak Bar makes for the perfect ‘post-theatre stop’, with delicious bar bites, post-show tipples and cocktails.
The Cairndale won its accolades in November and March respectively in the UK Good Spa Guide and Scottish Excellence Awards.
