As Scotland continues its first World Cup appearance in 28 years, Dalbeattie-based Thistle Products Ltd is helping to spread excitement across Dumfries & Galloway by gifting Scottish-themed products to more than 600 local schoolchildren.
The company has donated its popular InstaKilt towels and iconic See You Jimmy hats to pupils across three local schools, ensuring hundreds of children can celebrate Scotland’s return to football’s biggest stage in true Scottish style!
With World Cup fever building across the country, Thistle Products has also been working to spread the excitement beyond the classroom, encouraging local businesses and organisations across the region to get involved and show their support for Scotland’s campaign.
For many supporters, this year’s tournament is particularly special, marking Scotland’s first appearance at a World Cup since 1998. Recognising the significance of the occasion, Thistle Products wanted to help create lasting memories for local children while bringing communities together through a shared sense of national pride.
Carol-Ann Brown, Director of Thistle Products Ltd, said:
“At Thistle Products, we love celebrating everything that’s great about Scotland and sharing that spirit with our local communities. With World Cup excitement building, we wanted to do something fun. Seeing the children proudly wearing their See You Jimmy hats and InstaKilts as they get behind Scotland is exactly what this is all about.”Carol-Ann added:
“Scotland is famous for its passion, pride and sense of community. If we can help put a smile on a few hundred faces and add to the celebrations, that’s something we’re very proud to be part of.”
As Scotland prepares to take to the world stage once again, Thistle Products hopes the initiative will help inspire the next generation of supporters and spread a little World Cup fever throughout Dumfries & Galloway.
