13th annual showcase of world-class traditional Scottish & Irish music returns to Newton Stewart this July with a star-studded line-up of musicians from Scotland & Ireland, celebrating the unique cultural connections both countries have!
BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Rachel Groves Music, winner of Folk Album of the Year 2026 for his album ‘Curlew’s Cry’, the incredible Barry Kerr from Ireland, twice an MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Award winner for Scots Singer of the Year, Beth Malcolm, Sound Of Young Scotland/SAY Award 2026 nominees, Tarran, multiple Folk Band of the Year nominees, the mighty Dallahan, MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards ‘Original Work of the Year’ 2025, RURA, and exciting new acts from Scotland and Ireland including Archie Moss, Toby Shaer, and Jack Warnock Music, Gary Curley & Stephen McKee Music with @John McCartin, otherwise known as Chunky Business, plus Glasgow’s KICK!
Taking place in venues throughout Newton Stewart, the festival features concerts, workshops, 1-to-1 tuition, Highland dancing competition and outstanding tune and song sessions. Based from the Festival Office at The Vault Arts Centre, you’ll find a host of events taking place over the weekend, with something for everyone!
