Sell Out Beltie Beer Festival Announces Music Line-up For 2017

As the SELL OUT Beltie Beer Festival pours into it’s 3rd year, event organisers are pleased to announce the music line up for the day. With a great selection of some of the best local bands playing this year, the hundreds of lucky revelers who manged to get a ticket will be enjoying cool drinks and cooler music at the hottest biggest party in Dumfries and Galloway this June.

The live music line up will be starting from 12.30pm on the day and includes a great mixture of local bands –

The Average Blues Band – 8 Piece Soul Band

The Average Blues Band are an 8 piece Soul and Rhythm n’ Blues band, performing well known hits from The Blues Brothers and The Commitments movies.
Following an 18 year break, they reformed for one off gigs in 2016.

The band features

Davie Hardie – Keyboard
Gerry Mitchell – Drums
Stewart Solley – Sax
Alison Solley – Trumpet
Mike Swales – Trombone

 

Novantae – Contemporary Celtic music.

Named after a two thousand year old tribe, Novantae are an award-winning three-piece band who play their unique version of contemporary Celtic music with songs inspired by the people and places of Galloway.

Jamie Henderson (Guitar / mandolin / lead vocals)
Tom Cuddihy (Bass / banjo / backing vocals)
Guy Bryson (Drums / backing vocals)

Their vigorous sets have been frequently lauded at Big Burns Supper and Wickerman festivals.

Tiderays – Contemporary indie rock n’ roll

Tiderays – Formed in early 2017 featuring Eddie Oakes on vocals and guitar, Robbie Huxtable on guitar, fiddle and piano, Liam Russell on bass and Trevor Newport on drums. Tiderays are an indie rock band with an occasional contemporary folk flavour.

Chasin’ The Train – Blues with Cojones!

A 5 piece rock/blues band from Dumfries playing not so run-of -the-mill covers … Blues with Cojones!

The Zeebos are Scott (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Greg (Bass & Vocals), Fraser (Drums & Vocals) and Paul (Guitar).
