Firefly Festival is ecstatically happy to announce the almighty ‘Bis’ from Glasgow as headliners on the Saturday this year!! The festival runs from the 19th to the 21st of September. We are totally stoked to have the line-up we have this year – our first Firefly since lockdown.
Alongside Bis, we have… Junkman’s Choir, from Ayrshire, A Murder of Crows from Edinburgh; Woodwife and CCTV from Glasgow, San Fran and the Ciscos and poet, Jim Monaghan hailing from Ayrshire. The High Priestess, hot off the press from Dumfries and a whole stage ‘Made in Moniaive”…on the Friday night.
Firefly was started many years ago to fill some of the gap that our favourite festival Wickerman had left.
Jane Chalmers (organiser):
“We choose bands & poets we love that are more alternative, on independent labels and artists that are local to our area too! “
Firefly is sited within the beautiful, colourful village of Moniaive in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. With the event taking place at Glencairn Memorial Institute, Moniaive has established itself as the ‘Festival Village’ that’s bustling with creativity and musicians!
