Dizzee Rascal Makes A Return To D&G At Electric Fields 2017

MERCURY PRIZE winner and platinum selling artist Dizzee Rascal has been announced today February 28th as the second headliner for 2017 Electric Fields Music festival held at Drumlanrig Castle near Thornhill, Dumfries and Galloway ON SEPTEMBER 1ST & 2ND 2017

Electric fields is Scotland’s best small festival,  Also joining Dizzee Rascal in this years line up are Band of Horses, Glass Animals, Peter Hook & The Light, Kate Tempest, Car Seat Headrest, Real Estate, British Seapower, Anna Meredith, This Is The Kit, Aldous Harding, Marnie, Sacred Paws, Savage Mansion, Future Get Down, The Cut, The Vegan Leather, The Calm Fiasco, Nieves, 13 Crowes and Tiderays. 

Nick Roberts Festival co-founder told DGWGO “We can also reveal our electronic line up led by Glasgow stalwart Jackmaster, known for his ability to traverse genres and moods in a few hours headlining the Sneaky Petes stage with Artwork, Denis Sulta, Lord of the Isles and Space Dimension Controller.”

They join the previously announced Frightened Rabbit (Friday night headline), The Jesus and Mary ChainArab StrapCrash ClubAnd Yet It Moves, and Brat and the Bonemen.

Returning to the stunning grounds of the 17th Century Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries & Galloway for its fourth outing, Electric Fields offers its most diverse musical line-up to date. Always striving to showcase the most exciting music around at the moment, EF offers festival goers a weekend of top class music, amazing food and great entertainment with an intimate, community atmosphere.

 As well as an amazing musical lineup, Electric Fields will this year be expanding its food and drink offering with a curated Food Village, and our very own Ale and Craft Beer Festival. This year will also feature spoken word curated by Scotland’s finest, Neu! Reekie! and comedy, film and Q&As from some very special guests. For the young one’s the “Our Kids Electric” area returns with a whole host of entertainment and workshops and of course, the legendary adventure playground is a hop skip and a jump away!

Electric Fields festival takes place on 1st and 2nd September 2017 at Drumlanrig Castle, Thornhill, Dumfries & Galloway DG3 4AQ.

 

The site is approximately 90 minutes drive south of Glasgow / Edinburgh and 90 minutes north of Carlisle.
