The Stove was full to capacity on Saturday night in Dumfries as DMC (Dumfries Music Conference) put on four up and coming musicians.

MØGEN, Sean vs. The Robots, KLOË and Miaoux Miaoux.

As posted on Friday night again it was nice to be attending an event in the heart of Dumfries high street, people walking past were seen to be asking what was going on and wondering if a new pub had opened and they had missed out. This could be the very reason town centre events work in Dumfries a buzz was created and people were talking and asking about it, albeit too late but with future projects advertised and promoted through broadcast, news and social media formats it will surely go from strength to strength.

The night of music itself was filled with acts that differ strongly in experience but everyone showed great professionalism from start to finish. MØGEN opened the night and it was struggled to be

believed how young and inexperienced this local girl is, she gave a strong set of self written songs accompanied by the very able Aiden Halliday from Sticks and Stones.

It was an absolute pleasure to see Sean vs. The Robots performing once again although under a slightly different guise as they are currently a three piece. A strong set of songs that will quickly become favourites amongst their followers, in fact some were singing along already last night and in a very crowded Stove some even managed to create a dance space for themselves.
KLOË continued the nights upbeat flow with a series of songs that could easily be commercial hits in the UK and around the world. With sound man Dave Miller based in Dumfries KLOË has spent time in and around the town so performing at DMC seemed the natural introduction to her.

Miaoux Miaoux ( Main Photo ) headlined with a great mix of rocky guitar, electronica and solid melodies that were instantly catchy to all who were there, deservedly of their headliner status Miaoux Miaoux have been gaining heavy praise up and down the length of the UK for some time now.
