TOP LIVERRPOOL HOUSE AND TECHNO DJ TO PLAY VENUE AT DUMFRIES

Kydus set to wow the Venue this Saturday 26/4/14

Liverpool lad Kydus is set to grace the floor of Funktion at The Venue in Dumfries this Saturday.

A big name on the Liverpool underground house and techno scene, Kydus joins the April line-up as Funktion continues its fifth birthday celebrations.

After producing music since his teenage years, things started to really take off for Kydus two years ago: “I decided to get into the studio and create something new. New tracks and a new style – now I feel I have found my own sound.”

He burst onto the Liverpool club scene around the same time. Not only is Liverpool the place he loves to call home, but a great place for house and techno music:

“Liverpool will always be an amazing place for me to play. I’m not playing back home until August so I’ve taken a bit of back seat at the moment.

“Things are really starting to move with my music. I’m really excited to be playing Ushuaia next month for Emerging Ibiza.

“Obviously south west Scotland and Carlisle has a place in my heart as I love playing up here for Uber and I’m really looking forward to Funktion this weekend in Dumfries.”

“I came up with Annan DJ Ki Creighton for his last gig at Funktion – the crowd was amazing. I hope you lot are ready ‘cause Kydus is!”

Aside from his set in Dumfries this weekend, the summer is jam packed with Ibiza appearances and new track releases for Kydus. His forthcoming track “Free Spirit” to be released on Circus has been well received, with the likes of Yousef giving it huge support.

He said: “2014 is all about me getting out there and getting Kydus Global. Playing as one of the Emerging Ibiza artists is like living a dream, it still hasn’t sunk in yet that this is actually happening!

Despite all of his excitement, he’s still a sound Northerner: “I just do what I do, come down on Saturday and see for yourselves. With your fist pump at the ready!”

Funktion presents: Kydus is at The Venue, Dumfries this Saturday (April 26, 2014). Doors open at 11pm and entrance is £5.
