WEEKLY PRIMESTOCK SALE

Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Tuesday 9^th June 2020 had forward prime and cast sheep.

579 lambs sold to average 236.6 (SQQ 238.62).

A nice show of lambs was forward and although a touch less still looks a sound trade.  Top today was a marvellous Beltex lamb from Messrs Burgess, Maryfield, New Abbey selling to 280ppk and £112.   Top in the heavyweights was £111.50 for Beltex from Messrs Forsyth, Corra, Castle Douglas.

A small show of hoggs sold to £83 from Auchenhill for Texels.  Next week hoggs will be sold amongst the cast sheep.

Cast ewes were a touch sharper selling to £139 for cracking Texels from Cogarth.
