This page provides information on council services throughout the holiday period that includes bin-collection arrangements, homelessness and housing options, registration offices, social work and more. The council are immensely grateful to the teams and staff who continue to show their dedication to their roles, and who are working over the festive period to support those in our region. There will be no recycling collections on the above dates – we will only be emptying grey-lidded bins. 80% of our customers will see no change to their collection. To support household recycling, residents who need extra recycling capacity can order an extra recycling bin or sack free of charge. Alternatively, residents can present additional recycling in a bag or box beside their scheduled blue or red-lidded bin collection. In addition, our HWRCs will be open over the festive period, and residents can book slots online.
