Dumfries and Galloway Council have issued a warning after Blue Green Algae has been detected in Milton Loch and burn at Crocketford, near Castle Douglas.
A spokesperson for Environmental Health stated “Blue green algae is toxic to dogs and livestock and can be fatal. Please be cautious in letting livestock or your dog drink from these sources.
