Comedian Carina Macleod Set To Perform ‘Fibro My Arth!’ at The Theatre Royal Dumfries

Carina MacLeod is originally from the Isle Of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides and has worked professionally the Gaelic Media for the last 25 years. She trained as actor at Mountview Academy Of Theatre Arts in London.

Carina is currently Scotland’s only bilingual stand up comedian, performing in English throughout the Scottish Comedy Circuit as well as performing in Gaelic when the opportunity arises at such events as the Scottish Gaelic Awards & also The Royal National Mod.

She has had the pleasure of supported Fred MacAulay on a Hebridean tour in 2014. As well as performing at international venues such as Stand Up NY in New York, in Berlin at Cosmic Comedy Showcase Night.

Her sell out One Woman Show Fibro My Arth!, about her battle with the chronic illness Fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis has been performed in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Liverpool to sell out audiences, and rural venues in Islay, Lochgoilhead and Muir Of Ord Hub.

She has a recently become a cover girl for Arthritis Digest Magazine due to the success of her show.

She is delighted to be able to perform Fibro My Arth! at Theatre Royal Dumfries.
