Poppy started the day with a strong shoot scoring 920 on turning targets from the 10 meter range, followed by a good swim to sit in a top ten position after the first day.  Day 2 and an early start for Poppy where she and her horse Storms Ransom went clear around the challenging cross country course incurring only a few time penalties.

Poppy was sitting in 6th position after day two, however with the run still to go on Sunday morning she tried her best up against some fast competitors to finish up in 17th place overall. Poppy was also delighted to be awarded the bronze points badge for her final score. Amelia Craig competing at junior level (ages 12-14) was up against 86 qualified members. She started her day well, with a shooting score of 940 and she then followed that with a decent 3 minute swim leaving her in 18th position. Day 2 and Amelia and her horse Not Just Jack had a long wait until the end of the day to complete the cross country course with a super clear and within the time. Holding onto 17th position heading into day 3 Amelia ran a strong run to finish overall in a fantastic 10th place .

Amelia was also part of Scotlands’ Area 19 junior mixed Team along with Ruth Farnsworth and Blake Hedley from Lauderdale PC and Olivia Burns from Lanark & Renfrewshire PC which they were delighted to win! The girls would like to thank their coaches, Ellie Minto (swimming),  Raymond, Lynn & Fred (Stewartry Athletics), Sarah Clark (Head coach @ Stewartry PC) & Fran Stead Equestrian.
