Police Scotland officers at Gretna are investigating the theft of a Hobby make caravan which is valued at around £12,000. The caravan was stolen from the driveway of a house in Canberra Avenue in Gretna sometime overnight Tuesday 16/Wednesday 17 August 2016. The caravan is described as being about 24′ long, twin axles and has black decals down each side depicting mountain ranges.
Constable Andy Aitken at Gretna said “we have been carrying out door to door enquiries in the area in an attempt to trace any witnesses. At this stage we want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area of Canberra Road on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning. The caravan was fitted with security and so it may have been that those responsible were present for a while before being able to steal it. Anyone who can help should call us at Gretna on 101, or if they wish to remain anonymous then through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
