£20,000 Cash Stolen From House In Creetown

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following a break-in at Creetown, Newton Stewart. Sometime overnight, Saturday 10/Sunday 11 November 2018 a house in St John Street in Creetown was broken into. At this time it appears that a large amount of cash, believed to be in excess of £20,000, has been stolen in the break-in.

Detective Sergeant Nadine Scott said “Officers are currently carrying our enquiries in the Creetown area and this includes door to door enquiries. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of St John Street either late on Saturday night, or in the early hours of Sunday. I am asking them to think if they saw, or heard anything suspicious, or have any information which might help us in this enquiry?
