Streets were cordoned off in Dumfries in Monday 22 August 2016 as Police Scotland report that a fire was discovered at a flat in English Street at around 1945 hours .
39-year-old Emma Jane Moore was removed from the flat and taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where she was pronounced dead. The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
