£70,000 Piece Of Heavy Duty Plant Machinery Stolen – Borgue

Police Scotland is investigating the theft of a road breaker from the roadside near to Brighouse Bay, Kirkcudbright.  It appears that the breaker, an Atlas make, yellow in colour, has been taken sometime between the end of September 2018 and Monday 12 November 2018.

Detective Constable Gary Story said “The road breaker in question was being used in works near to Brighouse Bay and was left at the roadside.  Initially it was thought that the plant had been relocated, however it now seems it was stolen.  The breaker weight around 3.5 tonnes and would have needed a large vehicle or trailer to move.  The value is around £70,000.  Anyone who may have been in the area over the past month or so is asked to think if they saw anything suspicious which might help in this enquiry.  callers can call us on the 101 number and should quote the reference number 0921 of 12/11.”
