Police Probe Attempted Truck Cargo Thefts At Lockerbie And Ecclefechan

Detectives are investigating an several overnight incidents where curtain sided vehicles were slashed at both Lockerbie and Ecclefechan lorry parks on.

Although there was no property stolen, there were clear attempts to do so.

A police spokesperson stated “At Ecclefechan, one male was seen acting suspiciously within the SVS Burnswark Garage, and on being confronted the male ran out the yard onto the B7076.
The male was described as being white, approx 6 ft in height, medium build, wearing black trousers, black top, black gloves and a black baseball cap.
At Lockerbie, 2 males were seen acting suspiciously and when confronted, ran off towards the north perimeter fence of the lorry park and out of sight.
The 2 males were described as being approx 6 ft tall, slim build wearing all black including black hoodies and jackets with their hoods up.
