CALL FOR ANNAN COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT PLAY PARK IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE

On Friday 29th May, a small group of local mums and councillors met at the town hall to initially discuss issues about the play parks in Annan and how to improve and develop them.

Sean Marshall and Ronnie Ogilvie along with the other residents and council representatives who attended the meeting agreed that forming a committee to gain funding would be a good first step.

An open meeting is being held on Wednesday 17th June at 6pm in the town hall, this meeting is for any resident of Annan who has an interest in supporting this project and or becoming a committee member.

The event which has been added to facebook  https://www.facebook.com/events/899315693445497/through a local community group has already seen 56 people responding positively to the invitation stating they will be attending. The event has also been shared among other groups and pages including the DGWGO Events calendar http://www.dgwgo.com/event/open-meeting-annan-play-park/ which has sparked a lot of interest within the first 24 hours of the original post being publicised.

Local mums Wendy Stuart Hamilton and Louise Ross are calling for all local mums, dads, grandparents, caregivers, childminders and schools to show their support.
