POLICE Officers in Castle Douglas are seeking the help of the public to trace the occupants of a black coloured Kia style jeep following an incident on the A75 road near to the Ram Hill, Castle Douglas, at around 5.20pm on Monday 7 May 2018. At that time the driver of a red coloured Audi A3 car was travelling east at the Ram Hill, when the driver of the black jeep threw a bottle from his vehicle, which struck an offside window of the Audi car, smashing it. The driver of the Audi was not injured, although was shocked, and the black jeep continued on westbound.
Constable Robert Butcher said “the consequences of this completely reckless act do not bear thinking about and this could have caused a serious accident. We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or were travelling on the A75 near the Ram Hill, if they can help us identify the offending vehicle and driver.
