Police Probe Theft Of Caravan From Secure Compound – Moffat

POLICE Officers are appealing for the help of the public following the theft of a caravan from Moffat. Sometime overnight Monday, 6 January/Tuesday, 7 January, 2020, an Avondale Perle caravan was stolen from the Green Frog Caravan Park, Hammerlands, Moffat. Early indications show that the vehicle which may have towed the caravan away is a dark coloured Land Rover style vehicle. The caravan was displaying the registration number PX 15 RVJ.

Constable Gary Bil at Lockerbie said: “The caravan was stolen from a secure compound at the site, which the thieves have overcome to carry out this theft. I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area of the caravan park over the last day or so to get in touch if they have seen or heard anything suspicious, or may have sighted the caravan being towed. I am also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area with a vehicle which had a dash-cam fitted and working, to review their footage to see if they have anything which might help in this investigation. Callers can call police at Lockerbie on the 101 number, and should quote the reference number 0553 7 January 2020.”
