Police Appeal Launched After Raiders Attempt To Break Into Cash Machine

POLICE Scotland officers are appealing for information after a shop in Dumfries town centre was broken into in the early hours of  Sunday, 27 January 2019.

Around 00.20am two people, described as wearing dark clothing, broke into Sweet Sadie’s Ice Cream and Desserts in Galloway Street and attempted to break into the cash machine within the shop. They then made off from the area.

Detective Constable Rowan Buckley, the officer in charge of the inquiry, is appealing for anyone with information about those responsible to contact him. He said:

This is a busy area, even at this early hour, and I am appealing for anyone who seen any suspicious persons or vehicles or has information about who the two people are to get in touch with me by contacting Police Scotland via 101.”
