COMMUNITY RADIO STATION ALIVE 107.3 HERE TO STAY

Popular Dumfries community radio station Alive 107.3 is delighted to have had its licence renewed, allowing it to continue broadcasting until 2019.

The station has grown from strength to strength since it started broadcasting in 2009, and is run by volunteers including a Board of Directors, a Management Team and a diverse team of presenters. Mark Smith, Chairman of Alive 107.3, said “We are absolutely thrilled that our licence has been extended for another 5 years. We are strongly committed to supporting the community and are pleased to be able to continue providing this service for the period of our licence, and hopefully beyond”. Broadcasting from a temporary base above Kings Coffee & Books in Dumfries, the station are now looking for a more permanent premises and hope to have these secured by the end of the year. Alive 107.3 broadcasts to Dumfries and the surrounding area and has attracted an international listenership by providing the facility for online live streaming.
