Dumfries and Galloway Council in partnership with Scene 1 Take 1 have been working with young people and adults over the last few months to make two short films called “Psycho Santa“ and “The Last Of Us(zombie film)” from Community Learning and Development Youth Groups in Lockerbie and Annan.
The films will be shown in Lonsdale Cinema in Annan from 4.30pm on Tuesday 11 November.
The work has been planned to co-incide with local and National events to celebrate National Youth Work Week 2014 – This year’s Theme is Skills for Life.
Chairman of Community and Customer Services Committee Tom McAughtrie said;
“The Filming has been a great success with young people learning a range of new and exciting skills for the first time such as :- learning and rehearsing scripts, acting skills, how to develop their ideas, how to use professional production equipment and working under time pressure.”
This will be an opportunity for attendees to meet some of the young people and film makers (Scene 1 Take 1) who participated in these two films and have the experience of watching on the big screen!
