£25,000 Digger Stolen From Yard – Johnstonebridge

POLICE Officers are carrying out enquiries into the theft of a digger from a site at Johnstonebridge. Sometime overnight Tuesday 13/Wednesday 14 March 2018 a Volvo ECR250 digger was stolen from a secure compound at Annandale Water Services, Johnstonebridge. The secure fence had been breached and the digger appears to have been removed from the area by the use of another vehicle. The value of the digger is in the region of £25,000.

Constable David Noble said “this appears to have been a targeted theft as those who carried out clearly came prepared to take the machine away on some kind of low loader lorry of sorts. The site sits next to the coach parking area at Annandale water Services. We are reviewing CCTV as part of the enquiry, and would ask anyone who may have been in the area overnight Tuesday/Wednesday to get in touch with us at Lockerbie if they saw anything which might help in this enquiry. Callers can reach us on the 101 number and should quote the reference PDG0052910318.”
