Dog attacked by Border Terrier near Kirkton

Police Scotland officers based at Lockerbie want the help of the public to trace the owner of two border terrier dogs that were running about near to Carnsalloch Lodge on the road between Dumfries and Kirkton.

About 1300 hours on Tuesday 17 January 2017, one of the border terriers attacked a man and his dog and as a result the man was left with injuries to his hand that required medical treatment.

Constable David Irons said “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen these dogs running around at the time or may know who owns the dogs. Callers can get in touch through the usual 101 number”.
