Police Launch Witness Appeal – Dumfries Bypass Crash

Police Scotland are appealing for witness to a two car collision that occured just before 7.30am on Thursday 13 December 2018 on the A75 Dumfries bypass, between the Annan Road and the Lockerbie Road roundabouts.

A Mercedes van and a Vauxhall Insignia car were in a head on collision. As a result the drivers of the two vehicles and a passenger in the Vauxhall were all taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The male driver of the van received bruising, the male driver of the car received a fractured wrist and his female passenger received multiple fractures to her feet.

Constable Callum Kingstree of the Roads Policing Unit at Dumfries said “we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this crash, or saw either of the vehicles travelling on the Dumfries bypass prior to the crash to call us at Dumfries on the 101 number, quoting reference 0525 13/12.
