Police Probe Frozen Meat Theft From Imperial Hotel – Castle Douglas

Police officers in Castle Douglas are investigating the theft of a quantity of frozen meat from the Imperial Hotel in King Street, Castle Douglas.

The theft is believed to have occurred during the early hours of Friday 16th March 2018 and police are keen to trace two males seen in the Cotton Street area around the time of the theft.

Male one is described as a tall, gaunt/thin male with a distinctive walk. The second male appears to be shorter in height and was carrying large bags.

Police Constable Gregg Armstrong based at Castle Douglas said “We are carrying out an investigation into this theft and will be reviewing CCTV. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered any meat for sale in the local area or may have seen these males near the hotel during the early hours of Friday morning. Anyone with information about this theft should contact Police Scotland via the 101 number (reference number PS-20180316-3807).”
