TWO VALUABLE FUEL BOWSERS STOLEN – MOFFAT

POLICE Officers from Moffat are investigating the theft of two fuel bowsers, each of which contained about 3000 litres of diesel. The bowsers are about 1.5m square and are cream coloured. Each bowser is valued at £5000 and the fuel therein about £1800. One was stolen overnight Monday 3/Tuesday 4 June and the second one overnight Tuesday 4/Wednesday 5 June 2019. The location of the theft is a site near to Greenhillstairs, just off the B7076 road.

Constable Kirsty McLaughlin said “clearly there are heavy and expensive items and a vehicle would have to have been used in their removal. We are asking anyone who may have been on the B7076 road in the area of Greenhillstairs to call us if they saw or heard anything suspicious. Caller can use the 101 number and should quote the reference PDG 123990619.”
