Officers in Lockerbie are investigating a spate of break-ins to garden sheds, all in one street in the town. Sometime overnight Thursday 26/Friday 27 April 2018, a total of eight garden sheds in Victoria Park in Lockerbie were broken into. Nothing has been reported as stolen from any of the sheds, however damage has been caused in all the cases when forcing entry.
Constable Rebecca McClung at Lockerbie said “it is unusual to have as many reports over one night about this type of crime. What makes it even more unusual is that nothing appears to have been stolen from any of the sheds, this despite an array of gardening tools, lawnmowers and other electrical tools being in those sheds.
“Anyone who can help us in this investigation should call us on the 101 number and quote the reference number PDG 0086540418. We want to hear about any suspicious activity in the Victoria Park area on Thursday evening or early on Friday morning.”
