Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to an assault that occurred this evening Friday the 30th of September at about 9.20 PM, on the A75 on the Dumfries bypass, near to College Mains Retail Park.
A male person left his car to render assistance to another male at which time he has been assaulted by a group of youths. The male is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.
We are appealing for anyone who has information about this incident or knows who the youths are, to contact Police on 101 or attend at any Police station.
