Jewellery and Watches Taken in Thornhill House Break-In

POLICE Scotland are investigating a theft by housebreaking that occurred in Thornhill sometime between 11am on Monday 8th and 7pm on Thursday 11th October. Jewellery, including 5 wrist watches, appear to have been stolen in the raid.

Constable Douglas Black based at Sanquhar said “The break-in occurred in the Queensberry Beeches area of the town while the occupants were for a few days. Enquires are still at a very early stage and we will be speaking with local residents and trying to identify any CCTV opportunities.

As the darker nights come in I would also ask the public to keep an eye out for anyone acting suspiciously in their street or at neighbouring properties, particularly if you know they are empty. If you see or hear anything suspicious, please take the time to pick up the phone and call us on 101″.
