Police Scotland officers investigating the road traffic collision which happened on the A7 road just south of Skippers Bridge, Langholm at about 5.50pm on Wednesday 22nd November 2017 are now seeking witnesses to this crash.
At the time, the vehicle which left the road, a southbound mobile crane, may have encountered a north bound articulated vehicle prior to leaving the road.
Constable Scott Graham of the Trunk Roads Policing Group at Lockerbie said “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this crash, where the crane left the road and came to rest on the safety barrier. In particular we would like to speak to any drivers of lorries travelling northbound at this time. Anyone with any information can contact us at Lockerbie on the 101 number.
