A large scale search involving several emergency services is currently underway on the River Nith, Dumfries after a report of a body floating downstream was received.
A Police spokesperson has stated that “The area around Kingholm Quay is currently very busy with emergency services involved with the search and motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible.”
