Man Assualted with a Hammer & Robbed – Kelloholm

POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for witnesses after a report of a man being robbed by 2 males in Kelloholm.

A Police Spokesperson stated “On Saturday 18th July, the 29 year old man was walking along Greystone Avenue, Kelloholm, when a small blue/grey vehicle pulled up beside him.
2 males exited the vehicle where 1 of the males struck the man to his face with a hammer causing him to fall to the ground.
Whilst on the ground, the other male took the man’s mobile phone and a 3 figure sum of money from his trouser pockets. The 2 males then got back into the vehicle and drove off along Greystone Road.
The man suffered minor injuries as a result of being assaulted.
