Police Scotland are seeking assistance in an investigation into a serious assault which happened in the early hours of last Sunday, October 22nd 2017 at around 3.30am. A 23 year old man was seriously assaulted in Barrie Avenue in Dumfries.
The man required hospital treatment for cuts and bruising to his head and face. At the time of this assault there were a large number of people coming and going from a house party in the street. The assault appears to have gone on for some time.
A police spokesperson said ” A window at a nearby was also smashed around this time. Were you in the area that morning? Did you see anything which might help us? We would ask anyone who may have witnessed any of this disorder to contact us at Dumfries on the 101 number, quoting PDG 0245881017.”
