Opportunist Helps Himself To Cash From Till – Dumfries

Police Scotland officers in Dumfries are investigating the theft of cash from a shop till at the Premier Stores in Lincluden Road in the town which happened at around 1930 hours on Friday 13 January 2017. At that time the following described man was seen to enter the shop and remove cash from the unattended till before making off from the shop. The man wanted for interview is described as being about 6′ tall, of medium build and was wearing a black coloured hooded jacket which had the hood up. He wore a scarf which covered much of his face , had light coloured blue jeans and trainers.

Constable Richard Davidson at Dumfries said “the man we want to speak to for this theft just walked into the shop and took the money from an unattended till. The money is over £100 and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have used the shop around 1930 hours on Friday night. We are keen to see if anyone saw this man before or after he took the money. He was last seen running off towards the North West Resource Centre. Anyone who can help can call us at Dumfries on 101.
