On Monday 12th August 2019, Police officers from the roads policing team attempted to stop a Green Mini One on the outskirts of Dalbeattie, the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle subsequently crashed in Bruce Road in Dalbeattie and the driver ran off from Police.
The vehicle was found to have been stolen from Dobbies Wynd in Dumfries earlier in the day.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the vehicle pursuit or captured it on their dash cameras. They would also appreciate any premises on High Street, Craignair Street or Port Road who have external CCTV cameras that cover the roadway to contact Police Scotland.
