Police Scotland is now able to confirm that the body of the female found in the River Nith on Wednesday 1 August 2018 is that of missing Dumfries woman Lynn Tyeson. Lynn was reported missing in the early hours of Sunday 29 July 2018 and searches have been conducted over the past days for her. The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
The family of Lynn issued the following short statement – ” The family of Lynn would like to thank everyone for their concern and messages of support over the past few days following Lynn’s disappearance. They would also like to thank all those involved in the search for Lynn, both in the emergency services and all those volunteers who spent time looking for her.”
