Police Scotland investigating the raid on the Royal Bank of Scotland in Langholm in the early hours of Friday 11 November 2016 report that as the one week anniversary of the crime approaches they are still actively patrolling in the community as part of the investigative strategy.
“Officers have been out and about in the Langholm area since the raid to provide reassurance to the community and to ensure that anyone who may have seen or heard anything which might help in the investigation gets a chance to approach them to pass on that information if they want” explains Chief Inspector Stephen Stiff, Local Operational Commander for the area.
“As we approach the one week anniversary of the crime we will continue to have officers out and about in the community in an effort to speak to anyone who may have been in the town a week to the night it happened, just in case they saw or heard anything which might help us.
Even the smallest piece of information can be helpful in piecing together the facts in what is a fairly large and complex enquiry, and so we urge people to approach any of our officers on patrol if they have any information which might help.”
