Police are asking for witnesses to come forward that may of seen a two vehicle collision that occurred at about 4:45pm, yesterday (Sunday 26th August) on the A76 between Holywood and Auldgirth. The collision involved a blue BMW 330 and a white Renault Kadjar.
As a result of the collision the A76 was closed for over an hour. Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash and also asking if anyone recalls seeing either vehicle travelling south prior to the collision.
Anyone with information should contact Constable Kingstree of Dumfries Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting incident 2915 of 26th August.
