POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for witnesses after a 22 year old woman and a 25 year old man were assaulted by 2 males in St Michael’s Street, Dumfries, around 2am on Sunday 16th August.
The man and woman were walking along St Michael’s Street when they were approached by 3 males who engaged them in conversation.
Out of nowhere one of the males assaulted the man causing him to sustain minor injuries. The woman questioned the male as to the reason he assaulted her friend.
Just then, one of the other males assaulted the woman, before all 3 ran off. The woman sustained minor injuries as a result.
A Police Spokesperson Said “The males were described as follows:-
Male 1 – Late teens/early 20’s, 6 ft tall, dark hair, wearing a black top and denim shorts.
Male 2 – Late teens/early 20’s, 5 ft 9 in height, dirty blonde hair, wearing a grey top and denim jeans.
