Police Probe Spate Of Car Aerial Thefts – Dumfries

POLICE SCOTLAND Officers in Dumfries are appealing for help to solve a spate of thefts of car aerials from vehicles parked in Glebe Street in the town.

Sometime overnight Friday 15th and Saturday 16th June, seven cars in the street were targeted and had their aerials stolen. A number of the victims were residents in The Granary in Glebe Street.

Constable Cameron Pagan said, “It does seem strange that it was only aerials that were taken in the thefts, and the vehicles were all cars. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Glebe Street area over Friday or Saturday.
“Those responsible must have been in the street for a while in order to carry out these thefts. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at Dumfries on the 101 number, quoting the reference PDG 0130910618. Anyone who wishes to pass information and remain anonymous can do so through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
