POLICE SEEK TWO MEN IN CONNECTION WITH SNEAK IN THEFT – MOFFAT

 

Police officers in Moffat want to trace the following described two men thought responsible for the theft of a purse and contents from a house in Academy Road in the town between 1800 hours and 1810 hours on Saturday 27 August 2016. The two men were seen to enter the house whilst the occupier was out, and as a result the occupiers purse was stolen.

The men are described as (1) about 40 years old, 5’2″/5’3″ tall, slim build, short dark hair, wearing dark framed glasses, a dark top and denim jeans. Spoke with a Glasgow accent and walked with a limp. (2) again about 40 years old, 5’10” tall, larger build described as stocky with a beer belly, egg shaped head and was almost bald, wearing a dark jumper and dark trousers. He also spoke with a Glasgow accent.

Constable James Wishart at Moffat said “we have very good descriptions of the two men wanted for this crime and are asking the public to come forward if they can help us identify them. The purse contained about £100 in cash and a number of bank and credit cards. Anyone with any information should give us a call on 101.”
