Police Seek Witness To Fatal A76 Road Crash

Police Scotland have released the name of the man killed in the two vehicle road crash which happened on the A76 road between Auldgirth and Thornhill on Monday 13 June 2016 as 29 year old Antony Munro from Glasgow.  Mr Munro was the driver of a VW Golf car which was in collision with an Iveco lorry being driven by a 53 year old man from Cumbernauld.  The driver of the lorry was uninjured.  Enquiries into the cause of the collision are ongoing and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed.

Inspector Campbell Moffat of the Roads Policing Unit said “we are still appealing for any witnesses to this crash to get in touch with us at Dumfries through 101.”
