Police Appeal For Witnesses To Serious A713 Crash – Parton

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A713 Castle Douglas to Ayr Road, approximately two miles north of Parton village, Dumfries and Galloway.

The crash occurred around 2:45pm on Thursday 28th June and involved a yellow Iveco Tipper van. The 39-year-old driver of the van was flown by helimed to hospital, however, the 29-year-old male passenger escaped without injury.

The road was closed for a number of hours while emergency services worked at the scene. It has since reopened.

Roads Policing officer, Constable Anna Clark said, “We know a metallic blue Nissan car stopped to assist at the crash however left prior to Police arriving. We are keen to speak to the occupants of this car or anyone else who may have witnessed the collision.
