Police Officers in Dumfries investigating the high value break-in which happened at a house in Carnegie Street in the town at the weekend are now able to report that the family of the 75 year old victim are offering a substantial reward to anyone who can give information which will lead to the arrest and conviction of those involved in this crime.
Detective Constable Lee Moscrop said “in working with the victim and his family we have been informed that the family wish to put up a substantial reward in this case. Many of the items of jewellery stolen are of sentimental value and not possible to replace. This reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this sickening crime. Anyone who wishes to pass on any information which might help us in our enquiries is asked to call us here at Dumfries on the 101 number. Alternatively, if anyone wishes to remain anonymous, then they can use the Crimestoppers number which is 0800 555 111.”
