Police Probe Suspicious House Fire – Stranraer

POLICE Officers in Stranraer are investigating what appears to be a suspicious fire at a house in King George Road in the town.  The fire was discovered at around 2.30am on Saturday 18 May 2019.  Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fire was extinguished.  No-one was  in the house at the time the fire was discovered, and only  a small amount of damage resulted.
Constable Steven McDowall said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the King George Road area in the early hours of Saturday morning.  Anyone who may have any information which would help in this investigation is asked to call police on the 101 number and quote the reference number 0494 18/5.”
